This is a list of historians.

The names are grouped by order of the historical period in which they were writing, which is not necessarily the same as the period in which they specialize

Chroniclers and annalists, though they are not historians in the true sense, are also listed here for convenience.

T he stunning English victory at the Battle of Agincourt achieved eternal fame in Shakespeare s Henry V and has moved from the realm of history into mythology as a metaphor for the triumph of the underdog against all odds Yet while the general causes for Henry V s invasion of France the latest campaign in the Hundred Years War the siege and long march that led to Agincourt and the general course and outcome of the battle are well known historians continue to debate some of the most basic facts of what happened Were the English really that badly outnumbered Were the casualties so one sided Was Henry V justified in slaughtering the noble prisoners he had captured Henry V s campaign in France reopened hostilities in the Hundred Years War and was likely launched for a number of reasons land and wealth perhaps being second to the young king s desire to unite his nobles in a common purpose especially after the turbulent reign of his father Henry IV who had seized the throne by …

What is the percentage of scholars and historians that support Jesus historicity?
Q. and what's the percentage of historians and scholars that support the Jesus Myth Hypothesis?
Asked by Dr. Mankitteh - Tue Apr 7 04:08:38 2009 - - 6 Answers - 1 Comments

A. About 98-99% of scholars and historians believe Jesus existed, but only about half of those believe Jesus was divine in any way. Most of the people who believe in the Jesus myth hypothesis aren't even real scholars. The only one I know of who believes in it that actually is a scholar is Earl Doherty. Most of the ideas for the Jesus myth hypothesis come from people who have been dead for more than half a century. Most of them never went to college, or if they did, it wasn't for anything related to history.
