Does About.com have viruses or other malware that can harm your computer?
Q. I have heard in the past that if you visit the web page About.com you can get viruses or other malware. Does anyone know if this is true or false? Thanks!
Asked by Buckethead - Fri Aug 14 18:58:26 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. About.com is a reputable site. The problem is that crooks can use google ads to give you malware if you click on the ad. And they make them appear to be part of the subject matter and thereby they appear legit. Never click on any google ad, on any site. Google is doing a lousy job of policing their ads, just going after the almighty buck .
